Expert Review

royal canin mini ageing is a dry complete diet from royal canin. one of the world's largest pet food manufacturers, owned by mars petcare. known for breed-specific and life-stage formulations. the formula is specifically designed for older dogs, typically those over seven years of age, taking into account the changing nutritional needs associated with ageing.

this is a poor food and the ingredient analysis backs this up. relies heavily on corn, wheat and rice as primary carbohydrate sources, and uses unspecified protein derivatives which make it difficult to assess true meat quality. the heavy reliance on cereals and unspecified protein derivatives means that the nutritional value per portion is significantly lower than premium alternatives.

we would not recommend this food. the combination of low-quality protein sources, high cereal content and artificial additives falls well short of what we consider acceptable for a complete dog food. owners are strongly encouraged to consider alternative options that offer significantly better nutritional value.
