Sorghum

Sorghum is a gluten-free cereal grain that is increasingly used in premium grain-inclusive dog foods as a digestible carbohydrate source. It has a lower glycaemic index than many other grains, which can help maintain more stable blood sugar levels. Sorghum provides some protein, fibre, B vitamins and minerals including iron and magnesium. It is a reasonable ingredient, particularly as part of a varied grain blend, and is well tolerated by most dogs.
