Colostrum

Colostrum is the nutrient-rich first milk produced by mammals in the days immediately after birth. It is packed with immunoglobulins, growth factors, cytokines and other bioactive compounds. When included in dog food, typically as dried bovine colostrum, it is believed to support immune function, gut integrity and recovery from illness. It is particularly common in puppy foods and premium performance diets.
