Nucleotides

Nucleotides are the basic structural units of DNA and RNA and are involved in virtually every biological process. In dog food, they are sometimes added to support immune function and gut health, particularly in puppy foods. They are thought to promote the maturation of intestinal cells and enhance immune response. Nucleotides are naturally present in many foods but are also available as purified supplements derived from yeast or other sources.
