Sugar Beet

Sugar beet pulp is the fibrous material left after sugar has been extracted from sugar beet. Despite its name, virtually all the sugar has been removed, leaving a highly digestible source of soluble and insoluble fibre. It is widely used in dog food to support digestive health and firm stools. Sugar beet pulp is generally considered a beneficial ingredient in moderate amounts, though it is sometimes confused with whole sugar beet, which would be a concern due to high sugar content.
