Rapeseed Oil

Rapeseed oil (also known as canola oil) is a plant-based fat that provides a reasonable balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as vitamin E and monounsaturated fats. It is one of the better vegetable oils for use in dog food due to its relatively favourable fatty acid profile. However, like all plant-based omega-3 sources, the ALA it contains must be converted by the dog's body into the more beneficial EPA and DHA, which happens only to a limited degree.
