Chicken

Chicken is the most popular meat found in dog foods. It is highly palatable, relatively inexpensive and provides an excellent source of protein. It is very easily digested and is suitable for even the most sensitive of dogs. As with all meats, the chicken used in dog food can come in a number of forms of varying quality and nutritional value. Like all meats, when an ingredients list features just 'chicken' (as opposed to 'dried chicken', 'chicken meal' etc) it usually refers to fresh chicken.
